French for life
The project encourages and supports French Second Language (FSL) education and learning in Manitoba.
- It creates interest and enthusiasm for learning French as an additional language.
- It promotes the benefits of learning French through its presentations, promotional items, and website.
What does it offer?
- NEW engaging and interactive in-person, virtual and pre-recorded presentations available in French or Englishfor French Immersion and French (English program) students in grades 4-6.
- A representative is available to attend school events such as open houses, parent-teacher conferences and kindergarten information evenings, to provide resources and information about FSL programs.
French: An Opportunity of a Lifetime!
The presentation aims to create interest and enthusiasm for bilingualism.
It addresses the need to retain students in grades 7-12 who are enrolled in French (English Program) courses and the French Immersion program.
Through its presentation, students will explore the many possibilities and career options available to them as they continue to learn French as an additional language.
What does it offer?
NEW engaging and interactive in-person, virtual, and prerecorded presentations available in French or English for students in grades 7-12.
- An informative magazine and DVD with testimonial videos from Manitoban dignitaries and local celebrities including Ace Burpee.
- Giveaways for students and teachers.
- Information sessions for parents whose children are entering middle school and/or high school.
- A representative that is available to attend school events such as open houses, parent-teacher conferences, and kindergarten information sessions
Teach in French! Give the Gift of Language and Culture
CPF Manitoba is enhancing the recruitment and retention of French immersion teachers while also encouraging youth to learn about the career options as a FSL teachers through interactive and informative presentations and a website.
What does it offer?
NEW in person, virtual, and pre-recorded presentations in French or English for:
- Grade 5-12 students in French Immersion
- Grade 5-12 students taking French in the English program
- Faculty of Education university students
- Promotional materials for teachers and students
- Highlights the lifelong benefits of careers in teaching French
- Testimonial videos of Manitoba teachers
